Architectural studio Elii has developed a pilot house called the JF-Kit House  to look at how it’s possible to generate your own household energy while keeping fit at the same time. The house  includes a variety of exercises, including a crankshaft in the kitchen, a cycling pump in the living  room and an energy absorbing tatami for sit-ups in the front room. So not only could it be possible  to reduce your environmental impact, but getting a full-body workout could also be part of the pro -cess, leaving you with nothing but benefits. [ via psfk.com ]

You can carry your own booze to events and parties without attracting too much attention with the  iFlask, a drink container that cleverly masquerades as an iPhone. The iFlask is made from polyethy -lene and polycarbonate, making it lightweight, smooth, and sturdy. It’s toxic free and can hold five  ounces of liquid. Users can pour and drink from what should be the headphone jack, which opens and  closes with a sliding switch. The back is fitted with a bottle opener made of stainless steel. Each iFlask  comes with a free funnel for easy refilling. A new type of packaging which is 100% bio-based and biodegradable can also turn itself into a  bowl when it comes into contact with hot water – making it environmentally friendly and practical. Swedish-based company Innventia teamed up with designers Anna Glansén and Hanna Billqvist  from the design agency Tomorrow Machine to put together the idea. The partnership was inspired  by a desire to show the possibilities of combining state-of-the-art science with cutting-edge design.
