Truly one of the most fascinating architectural pieces in the world is the Magdeburg Water Bridge. This navigable aqueduct is located in Germany, and is responsible for connecting the Elbe-Havel Canal to the Mittelland Canal, and crosses over the Elbe River. This wondrous bridge did not open until just under a decade ago in October of 2003. Boasting the record for world’s longest navigable aqueduct, the Magdeburg Water Bridge reaches a total length of 3,012 feet~
