The Autonome is a mobile phone concept with a unique charging feature. The regular way to do this will be to directly plug-in the phone to the wall socket, negating the use of any cables. Alternatively, you can detach the specialized module, tank it up and then hook it back to the phone and transfer the juice. This ways you get the freedom to use the phone whilst charging the extra ammo. I love the magnesium unibody frame designed for this, and of course the practical solution for charging. Ideal for travelers too!

This is an idea that we have been thinking about for a while. A few people encouraged us to do it but we never quite got around to it. Then we got a spare afternoon one day and decided to have a good go at making it work. It worked…. perhaps a little too well! Definitely our most ‘meaty’ design..

Today we want to show one creative chair that has been awarded a Good Design Award, an annual award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

bOne chair is “a chair with a playful air for people with a sense of humor. Its support structure mimics our bone structure, its upholstery our skin cells, and just like these cells the seat, too, conforms – like the rhytm of inhaling and exhaling – to the individual’s unique ergonomics.” Have fun!
